Post 85 Continuing with anger Nails bag tale

This is the story of a boy who had a very bad temper. His father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his patience, he should drive a nail behind the door. On the first day, the boy drove 37 nails behind the door. In the weeks that followed, as he learned to control his temper, he drove fewer and fewer nails behind the door. He found it easier to control his temper than to drive nails behind the door. The day came when he could control his character all day. After informing his father, he suggested that he remove a nail each day that he managed to control his character. Days passed and the young man was finally able to announce to his father that there were no more nails left to remove behind the door. His father took him by the hand and led him to the door. He said, you’ve worked hard, my son, but look at all those holes in the door. It will never be the same. Every time you lose your patience, you leave scars exactly like the ones you see here. You can insult someone and withdraw what was said, but the way you say it will devastate him, and the scar will last forever. A verbal offense is just as harmful as a physical offense. Friends are priceless jewels. They make us laugh and encourage us to move forward. They listen to us attentively, and they are always ready to open their hearts to us.
What did you think of the story? I would love to read your opinions about it. I’ll tell you about it next week. And any questions or comments I am delighted to read here or through my email mariarivescoach@gmail.com
