Post 74 on vacations and emotional well-being 1
Hello again. As I mentioned in the previous post, I am going to talk about the importance of knowing how to disconnect and enjoy the holidays for your emotional well-being. Human beings have various areas and interests and we have to know how to attend to them in order to live in harmony with ourselves and with others. And feel good on an emotional level. On a physical level we have to take care of our body (sleep, eat, exercise,….) On a social level we have to take care of our environment and our relationships and on a psychological level we have to take care of our mental aspect and also rest and have fun. The last time you stopped "your obligations" and had fun? And just like your body needs to sleep and rest, your mind needs to rest too. And notice that I have put "your obligations" in quotes. Because many times we assume obligations that aren’t ours. But that is the subject of another post and I will comment on it in another post later. To be well, we have to achieve a balance between work and daily activities with leisure and fun for several reasons, basically 1. that the brain rests and can perform 2. resting is part of life 3. when have you felt better? When you are rested and you have allowed yourself stops or when you go to fixed gear with hardly any time to stop? You already tell me and I will continue talking about this topic. I would love to read you and know how you disconnect and how it makes you feel…. You already know here or by my email mariarivescoach@gmail.com
