POST 40 HALLOWEEN AND ALL SAINTS FESTIVITY
I know that the title of this post is a little while considering that it is an emotional wellness blog. I will explain myself. You can relate this (and any) holiday with well-being from various perspectives.
On the one hand all the festivities, traditions, rituals are important because they unite us with our group (family, tribe, nation …), they give us a sense of cohesion, group, cultural values … giving us a map through which to travel through the world. And if they are positive values, and we feel identified with them they bring us well-being. And if not, we must know that we can change the map. And it is also useful since we know that this is not going for us
This is for all holidays and traditions. And this one in particular is to honor our dead, and this tradition is good to remember where we came from, to thank our parents and ancestors for bringing us into the world, recognizing their positive things and healing wounds. It is also good to remember that we will die someday, something that in Western culture seems we have forgotten
and you? How do you live this party? What do the traditions you have inherited give you? Do you want to install a new one? How do you get along with your ancestors? You know, nice to read you here or by my email mariarivescoach@gmail.com and in the next post I will talk a little more about this
