post 103 emotional well-being emotional competencies for greater well-being 1
Hello again, I have already talked about basic emotions, (later, in other posts I will continue talking about this topic) but today, and in the next posts, I want to comment on being emotionally competent. Since if you are (the good thing is that if you are not, if you want, you can learn) you will have greater emotional well-being. And it's something that we all like, right? Today I will define what emotional competencies are and their five areas, and then, in the following, I will delve further into the subject. Emotional competence refers to the knowledge you have about your emotions, and those of others, and how you control and manage them to achieve your goals. The five emotional competencies are: 1.-Self-awareness: recognizing our moods, the emotions we feel, being also aware of our resources 2.-Self-regulation: how we manage our moods, emotions and own resources in an effective and positive way. 3.-Self-motivation: use your emotions to achieve positive changes and goals in your life. 4.-Empathy: Notice, be aware and receptive to the emotions, needs or concerns of others Relating to the way of managing moods, impulses and own resources. 5.-Social skills: getting the desired answers from others, respecting their needs, motivations…. That is to say, it is knowing and appropriately using your emotions and those of others to achieve, in a satisfactory and positive way, your goals and that of others. Are you emotionally competent?
